Another meeting of the heads of security agencies of the CIS member countries was held
On May 24th, the 54th meeting of the Council of the heads of security and special services of the CIS member states was held in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Chief of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev took part in the event.
Exchange of information in the field of combating international terrorism and religious extremism and identifying and preventing activities of individuals who took combat trainings outside the borders of the countries and participated in armed conflicts within criminal groups were among the main issues on the agenda of the meeting. Tensions taking place on the world geopolitical level, new threats which international security system faces on the background of complex and contradictory processes, overall increase of the terrorism risk and growth in intensity of the cybercrime cases were especially emphasized at the event.
At the same time the necessity to unite efforts and to mobilize existing capabilities in order to ensure joint efficient fight against negative impacts of serious concern such as intelligence-disruptive activity of forces with certain interests in CIS space, transnational organized crime, human trafficking, smuggling of drugs and psychotropic substances was also highlighted.
At the event, speeches were delivered, detailed discussions were held on important issues and a number of important documents on future cooperation were executed.
