Spreading video materials related to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan on social networks creates a serious legal responsibility

In the last few days, the segment of Telegram channels related to the Armenian special services have been posting calls that instigate the filming and distribution of video footage of the military units of the Azerbaijan Army, their dislocation, displacements, combat and mobilization preparation, weapons, and military equipment, and spreading them through social networks. Such cases have been taken under control by the State Security Service and necessary measures will be taken against individuals who initiate similar actions.

We state that it is absolutely unacceptable to make and distribute video recordings that seriously damage the national security and defense capabilities of our country, contain information related to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and constitute a state secret, and we urge citizens to refrain from committing such actions.

At the same time, we emphasize that the deliberate perpetrating of the mentioned illegal acts constitutes a subject of investigation on the suspicion of the dissemination of state secrets, and in some cases treason, and leads to appropriate legal liability measures.
