National Salvation Day was celebrated in “Bilgah” Recreation Center of SSS

An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of June 15 - National Salvation Day was organized at the “Bilgah” Recreation Center of the State Security Service (SSS). The event was attended by the Chief of the SSS, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev, senior staff of the Service and veterans of the security agencies.

At the event, the dear memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroic children of the Motherland, who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute's silence and the National Anthem was played.

Later photo-video materials reflecting the history of the “Bilgah” Recreation Center, including the start of its activity in 1953 and Center's transfer from the balance of former Soviet Transcaucasian border district to the state security agency at the direct initiative of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev while he was a head of the security agency, as well as the fact that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the Center were demonstrated to the participants.

This center used to be the favorite place of Heydar Aliyev, an ingenious leader who dedicated 25 years of his life to the service of the security agencies and the Great Leader spent his summer vacations here with his family members while working in these agencies.

It was noted that overall conditions have been created for the efficient organization of rest and leisure time of employees and their family members in the Center, which is currently undergoing large-scale reconstruction works, and the necessary works in this direction will be carried out continuously from now on.

The event continued with a cultural program.
