A scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Cultural Center

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, a scientific-practical conference called “Honorary Head of Azerbaijan Security Bodies” was held at the Cultural Center of the State Security Service (SSS) under the organization of the Heydar Aliyev Academy.

The Chief of the Security Service, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev and senior staff of the Service, Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fazail Ibrahimli, committee chairmen of the Milli Majlis, Ziyafat Askerov, Sadiq Gurbanov and other members of parliament, veterans of security agencies, heads of special services and civilian heads of the higher education institutions along with professors and teachers participated in the event.

The conference began with a one-minute of silence and the National Anthem, commemorating the dearest memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The Chief of the National Security Service Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev, declared the event open with an introductory speech and greeted the guests. Looking at the meaningful life of Heydar Aliyev, the Chief of the Service opened a wide discussion about the great leader's unparalleled services for the welfare of the country and his people, and the decisive steps he took to ensure the national interests throughout his life. Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev, who shared his views on the activities of the genius in the security agencies, noted that Heydar Aliyev created honorable examples of service in this institution, and that the nationalization of the security organization is his achievement. It was highlighted that Heydar Aliyev's constant advancement in positions, his appointment as the head of the security body as the first Azerbaijani and the rank of major general were possible only as a result of his innate talent, deep analytical thinking and high skills.

The Chief of the Service emphasized that the successful domestic and foreign policy of the honorable President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who always lived with the desire to see Azerbaijan independent and successfully continued the statehood strategy of Heydar Aliyev, who was the guarantor of national interests at all times, led strong and powerful Azerbaijan to a bright future, bright tomorrow and new endevours and victories.

Afterwards, the guests watched a video dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, and then the conference continued with the speeches of other participants. Noting that the holding of such events is of great importance in terms of preserving and promoting Heydar Aliyev's professional legacy, the speakers talked about the life path of the outstanding statesman and emphasized that the progress and prosperity of Azerbaijan during the time when the Great Leader led the republic during the Soviet era, was in the leading positions among the countries included in the Soviet Union. Prosperity was the result of Heydar Aliyev's tireless efforts. The speakers said that Heydar Aliyev, who successfully fulfilled the mission of saving Azerbaijan after gaining independence and established socio-political stability in the country and led Azerbaijan to the path of sustainable development, wrote his name with golden letters to our history as the founder of our modern state.

The event ended by taking a commemorative photo with participants in front of the bust of National leader Heydar Aliyev in the Cultural Center.
