An event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader was held in the Sheki city 

Another event on “Heydar Aliyev and security bodies” was held by the State Security Service (SSS) in the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the city of Sheki.

The event was attended by Elkhan Usubov, the head of the Sheki City Executive Power, senior officials and employees of the SSS, heads of the city's law enforcement agencies, Vugar Iskanderov, deputy of the Milli Majlis, veterans of the security agencies, participants of the Patriotic War, education, health and cultural workers of the Sheki city .

First, the guests visited the monument erected in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of Sheki city and laid flowers in front of it.

The event organized in the Heydar Aliyev Center of Sheki city began with a minute's silence and performance of the National Anthem, commemorating the dear memory of the Great Leader and the sons of the Motherland who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event, Elkhan Usubov, the head of the Executive Power of Shaki city, spoke in detail about the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev's contributions to the preparation and implementation of the security strategy of our country during the years of independence, the development of the security agencies of Azerbaijan in this context, and the invaluable services rendered by the genius in the path of our statehood and the progress of our country. He spoke about the importance of holding such a series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary.

Other speakers of the event talked about the important work done by the National Leader during his activities in the security agencies, the successful operations carried out under the direct leadership of the Great Leader, his intense efforts towards the nationalization of these agencies. They emphasized that it was reported that the school of professionalism founded by Heydar Aliyev in the security organization is continued today, and the criteria established by him for the efficient operation of special services is always guided by the operational staff of the SSS.

The speakers noted that the trust and confidence shown by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to the security agencies, which the Great Leader always covered with attention and care, is of great importance in the proper implementation of the important tasks set in the way of ensuring the security of the state.

The event ended with the screening of the first edition of the “Confidential” project, which was carried out by the SSS together with Azerbaijan Television, and which was dedicated to the “Naturalist” operation conducted under the leadership of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev when he served in the security agencies.
