The Chief of SSS met with the representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross in our country

On October 31, the Chief of the State Security Service, the Chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, Ali Naghiyev received Mrs. Dragana Kojic, the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representative office in Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the State Commission, Ali Naghiyev, expressed his views on the ICRC's humanitarian mission in our country, determination of the fate of our citizens who disappeared during the Karabakh wars as a result of Armenia's aggressive policy, the continuous intensive search process, Armenia's failure to provide information on our missing citizens, as well as his gratitude to ICRC for its support in the exhumation and identification of the remains of Azerbaijani citizens found in territories liberated from occupation, expressed hope that specific results will be achieved soon thanks to joint efforts with ICRC regarding the above-mentioned cases, which are of the great concern to the Azerbaijani society.

Mrs. Dragana Kojic, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome, pointed out that important steps have been taken within the framework of mutually beneficial relations in order to solve the important issues on the agenda, and gave detailed information about the ICRC's recent actions.

At the meeting, a broad exchange of views was also held on other issues of interest to both parties.
