Opening ceremony of the International Cyber Summer School held
The
opening ceremony of the next International Cyber Summer School was held at
the “Bilgah” Recreation Center of the State Security Service (SSS) On July 15.
The
event, traditionally held every year, was attended by leading employees of the
State Security Service, State Service of Special Communication and Information
Security, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of
Education, rectors of the country's leading universities, representatives of
the Association of Azerbaijan Cyber Security Organizations and other relevant
organizations, as well as project participants, teenagers and youth. The
purpose of organizing the summer school, which will last until July 21 and will
be conducted by local and foreign experts, is to identify and bring together
teenagers with knowledge, skills and special enthusiasm for cyber security
inside and outside the country, as well as to support them to grow as
specialized experts in the field of cyber security.
First,
the participants of the event watched the technology exhibition on the
territory of the “Bilgah” Recreation Center.
After
the event was declared open with the playing of the National Anthem, a video
showing the most interesting moments of the last year's “Cyber Camp - 2021”
summer school was demonstrated.
Later,
the head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information
Security, Ilgar
Musayev, deputy minister of the Ministry of Digital Development and transport,
Farid
Ahmadov, rector of the Baku Higher Oil
School, Elmar
Gasimov, leading employees of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Education, as well as the
representatives of relative foreign structures delivered speeches to the
participants of the event about the importance of summer school to teenagers in
cybersecurity, information security, programming, artificial intelligence and etc.
talked about the wide opportunities that open up before them to broaden their
horizons in the fields, about the importance of acquiring the necessary
literacy and skills for young people to combat cybercrime. The participation of
teenagers from foreign countries in this year's event was especially
emphasized, and confidence was expressed that the summer school will make
important contributions to increasing the intellectual level of young people, improving
their innovative thinking and conducting knowledge exchange among them.
At
the end of the opening ceremony, the participants of the event were presented
with a cultural programme.
