On June 2, unfounded statements were made in the Armenian media that some of the bodies in the morgues might have belonged to Azerbaijani servicemen.

In this regard, we state that there is no corpse of a serviceman of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces among the identified corpses kept in morgues subordinated to the Ministry of Health of Armenia. According to the forensic genetic examination (DNA testing) appointed by the Armenian law enforcement agencies, the bodies belonged to the Armenian military.

Currently, search teams consisting of professional employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Military Prosecutor's Office, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan are working intensively to find the missing servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and hand them over to their relatives.
