Events dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijani security agencies were held

According to the Order signed by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev on March 23, 1997, March 28 is celebrated as the professional holiday of the employees of the security bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the establishment of the security agencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the professional holiday, the Head of the State Security Service, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev and members of the board of the State Security Service came to the Alley of Honor and honored the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the honorary head of the Azerbaijani security forces, the founder of the nationalization process in this important state institution, and laid a wreath before his grave.

The memory of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also honored, and flowers were laid at her grave.

In the Alley of Martyrs, the unforgettable memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our country was commemorated, and a wreath was laid at the Eternal Flame monument. Also, the memory of the employees of the national security agencies who died in the struggle for the protection of the statehood of Azerbaijan and the freedom of their lands was honored, and flowers were laid at their graves.

Then, the new administrative buildings of the Khatai and Surakhani district departments of the State Security Service were inaugurated.

The event was attended by the Head of the State Security Service Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev, members of the board of the State Security Service, staff of the above-mentioned district departments, the head of the Khatai District Executive Power Rafig Guliyev and the head of the Surakhani District Executive Power Aziz Azizov.

After cutting the red ribbons symbolizing the opening of new buildings built in accordance with modern standards and style, the participants viewed photo stands reflecting the statehood activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and the history of Azerbaijani security agencies. Afterwards, the participants got acquainted with the rooms of the buildings and the working conditions created for the staff.

Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev expressed his deep gratitude to the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr Ilham Aliyev for the commissioning of the new administrative buildings of the Khatai and Surakhani district departments of the State Security Service, for the excellent conditions created for efficient and professional organization of operational activities and for the modern material-technical facilities and equipment.

In the end, the Head of the State Security Service, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev, gave recommendations and instructions to the personnel of the Khatai and Surakhani district departments of the State Security Service, congratulated them and wished them success in their service.
