The description of the official emblem of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan
The emblem of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan was approved by Decree No 216 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 25 March 2005. The official emblem of the State Security Service consists of an eight-pointed star with gold-coloured edges, a circle with convex edges inside it depicting the state flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a gold-coloured crescent inside the circle, and a smaller eight-pointed star in the centre.
Inside the circle, the words "REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN" are written at the top and "STATE SECURITY SERVICE" at the bottom in dark gold letters. The part of the circle with the state flag is fixed with gold rivets in eight places along the circle.
The elements of the emblem are embossed along its entire perimeter. The centre line of the corners of the large eight-pointed star inside the circle and the edges of the circle are more prominent in the centre, while the smaller eight-pointed star in the centre is more prominent than all the elements of the emblem.
